Own what you love.<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">While much of picking out home decor is governed by spoken and unspoken rules, art is a personal choice in which there is no right and wrong. As artist Zo\u00eb Pawlak told MyDomaine, \u201cArt is a place for expression through color, content, and texture. Choose art at a heart level, and don\u2019t forget about sculptures and rugs!\u201d<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Trusting your instincts is important, but some considerations are necessary, such as scale. \u201cYou don\u2019t want to put a beautiful but tiny artwork on its own on a big white wall, or a huge artwork that chews up so much visual space that it overtakes everything in the room. Because even though you want your art to be eclectic, cohesion is essential. A room can end up looking cluttered and confused if its elements don\u2019t work together. One tip for achieving a streamlined final result? Start with an anchor piece. As you continue to decorate, you can choose other art pieces that carry elements of your anchor piece. Another way to anchor disparate art pieces? Do you want a room to feel cozy and comfortable, grand and dramatic, or restful and relaxing? Wait it out.<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Many homeowners rush out and buy art en masse in an attempt to conquer their empty walls. However, rash purchases can quickly lose its allure.
