Move over winter, it’s springtime! We just couldn’t wait until the weather warmed up, and we believe it’s never too early to do style scouting. Today, we’re sharing the top four spring trends that we’re excited about. From new flooring ideas to lighting, you may feel inspired to start getting your home ready for spring today!

Statement Floors
Say goodbye to the classic statement wall and say hello to floors that stop you in your tracks. The possibilities are endless with flooring options like patterned cement tile, matte geometric tile, herringbone wood flooring, striped flooring and more. We’ve even seen a transitioning of tile to wood flooring, a rising trend that is 100 percent remarkable.
The Color Sage
It’s not quite mint, it’s not green – sage is a pop of color and subtle, all at the same time. Imagine yourself in a room painted sage, doesn’t it feel relaxing? Or maybe you’re wrapped in a sage-colored blanket or grabbing something from a sage-colored cabinet? There’s something soothing, natural and rich about the color sage, not to mention that it blends well with other colors and textures. If you are looking for an alternative to grey and beige, sage should be a top contender.
Floral Patterns
What used to be traditional and boring is now a springtime trend. You’ve seen this pattern on sofas, rugs, curtains, wallpapers, throw pillows, bedding – flower power is making a comeback. Having too much of this pattern can make your room feel overwhelming, so choose floral patterns that match colors in your room’s color palette already. For the floral-weary, consider nature-inspired accents that can instantly liven up a room.
Texture
Macramé, contemporary, weaving, tassels, faux fur, and pom-poms – you’ll find these types of textural elements in lighting, rugs, wall décor, poufs, throw pillows and much more. Texture can immediately add dimension and feeling of coziness to a room. Overall, you will see some 70’s design trends coming back this year.
In addition to these spring trends, keep an eye out out for brass, velvet furniture and natural materials, which we wrote about in our 2018 home decorating trends blog.
