If you’re thinking of redecorating in the new year and in search of ideas, there’s no simpler source of design inspiration than the internet. But choosing between the thousands of design blogs can be a full-time job — which is why we’re cutting through the noise to bring you this list of four of our favorite home decor blogs.

1. Style By Emily Henderson

Stylist, author and television host Emily Henderson offers “inspiration for every room” with her popular blog aimed at making design more approachable and accessible to all.

“As a home style expert who has a strong commitment to peeling back the intimidating layers of the world of home decor, and showing how every person can have a beautiful home that represents their personality, no matter what the budget,” Henderson says.

She also reinforces the importance of joy and originality in decorating. “I believe that your home should look like you, that every room is soul-less without something vintage or antique. I also believe in having fun. Like, a lot of fun,” Henderson continues.

2. Design*Sponge

Covering a broad range of topics including interiors, DIY, shopping, and food and drink, Design*Sponge is a one-stop-shop for people not only in search of design ideas, but also tips for living better.

Said Domino magazine of Design*Sponge’s sway,  “[Founder] Grace Bonney’s unfaltering eye for design is clearly evident within the pages of Design*Sponge. From the home tours and decor tips to travel inspo and lifestyle tricks, there’s no shortage of content to inspire.”

Design*Sponge’s personal approach to writing about design is also appealing, “We don’t only cover beautiful homes, objects and trends, but rather the people behind them, along with their struggles and real life concerns,” proposes its “About” page.

3. House Beautiful’s House Tours

While not technically a “blog,” the House Tours section of this magazine — long considered “the bible” in the interior design biz — is a can’t-miss for lovers of all styles of chic design. From the genius space-saving tips used by Vern Yip in decorating his charming guest cottage to the “Wes Anderson vibes” of a 1920s Mediterranean Revival manse in Palm Beach, readers get the thrill of discovering gorgeous home after gorgeous home — all from the comfort of their own living rooms.

4. Jungalow

Enthuses Apartment Therapy of this beloved blog and lifestyle brand, “The Jungalow, by the author of The New Bohemians, combines riotous, refreshing design with incredibly in-depth explorations of how to solve interior challenges such as Design Dilemma: Bathroom Layout, the super-helpful How To Do Room Renderings, and discussions of what a difference small changes can make, as in Little Updates at the Jungalow (above). Widely-varied tutorials include a Moroccan-inspired stool and boho fringe chandelier, and the Learn section is full of educational posts about individual artists, makers and plants.”

Of course, not all design blogs will speak to your particular style and sensibility. If one of our picks isn’t doing it for you, just move onto the next. The best part? There are near-endless design blogs out there just waiting to be discovered and devoured before for your next decorating project. And make sure to bookmark our blog for more great content from Stowers Furniture.
