How to Transform Your Table Setting for Easter

Easter table setting

Easter is right around the corner, but it feels like yesterday when the stores were filled with stuffed animals, candy hearts and cupid arrows. Now, chocolate bunnies and Easter eggs are stocked on the shelves and it’s time to get your table set for an Easter get-together. The table is where your friends and family will gather; here are simple ways to transform your table setting that will stand out.

Find (or Make) The Perfect Centerpiece

The centerpiece sets the theme for the rest of the table. And there are a lot ways you can showcase spring and Easter, but it depends on your style. Consider these different and festive ideas:

  • For a sophisticated table setting, buy fresh flowers such as lilies or daffodils, and place them in a simple white vase to create a classic floral arrangement.
  • For a traditional Easter setting, color or dye some eggs to place in bowls at the center of the table. To give your table an extra personal touch, turn this into a family activity with your kids.
  • For a dainty setting, get a small flower planter box and fill it with fake grass. Glue in a few tulips and ranunculus blooms, then cut out some leaves from scrapbooking paper.

Add a Pastel Color Palette

Incorporate pastel pinks, blues, yellows, and purples in the napkins, napkin rings, table runner or dinnerware. Easter also celebrates the bounty and reawakening of spring, so incorporate other symbols of Easter like ceramic bunnies or ceramic baby chicks. If you’re having kids over, you might choose a bright and festive tablecloth. If you prefer a muted theme, try a solid color or striped pattern. If you want to transform your whole dining room for spring, consider a pastel rug to brighten up your dining room.

Bring Green to the Table

Nature-inspired elements can tie together a spring-themed tablescape beautifully. To create a rustic look, bring in faux branches or moss, and accessorize with plastic robin eggs inside a bird’s nest. If you prefer to leave nature outside, consider woodland-style dinnerware, and accessorizing with pastel green napkins, woven chargers or wooden napkin rings.

However you decide to decorate your table, we hope these table setting ideas give you a spring in your step.
